Director of HR & Development

Our team members are the lifeblood of Middlesex Glass, and the Human Resources and Development department is the heart. Ensuring our employees have everything they need to thrive is the mission of HR&D, and Courtney Ryan manages this vital office.

As Director of HR&D, Courtney oversees all human resources and recruiting functions. Her duties include hiring and onboarding as well as managing insurance and benefits packages, employee development and training. From measuring employee performance and recognition to supervising employee relations, from company event planning to coordination of company charity work, and from compensation analysis to succession planning; Courtney’s ability to see the big picture has shaped our corporate culture at Middlesex Glass.

Courtney has a true passion for building a positive corporate culture for our employees while maintaining a performance driven mentality that yields optimal results for our clients. The potential for mutual growth lends a sense of excitement to her work, which is apparent when you talk to her about the creation and evolution of our employee development and training program.

Courtney is there for that “first round draft pick” and often catches the first glimpse of new talent that will be added to the Middlesex Glass team. She has a knack for recognizing talent and visualizing what candidates for employment can achieve. Seeing their potential and knowing how best to direct it, she is instrumental to building upon the unique set of strengths that each team member possesses.

Courtney loves the ever-changing nature of her work, and she’s always eager to tackle new challenges as they come along. She loves that every day is different, and she gets the opportunity to learn something new every day.

When she’s not at work, Courtney can be found spending time with family and friends. She enjoys summer weekends with her family at the beach in New Hampshire or Ogunquit, Maine. She loves to ski, spending many winter weekends on the slopes in New Hampshire. She also enjoys spinning and staying active as much as possible.

Courtney earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Marketing from Roger Williams University, and she has worked in the industry since 2013.
